There's lots of "Buzz" amongst golfers surrounding the GPS Golf Guru device, because of its accuracy, standard features, customer service and price. At $249.95 , and ZERO Membership Fees, it stands alone as a "Best Value" amongst virtually All the GPS devices on the market.

Accuracy......It is by far the most accurate (only matched by the GPS Golf Color Guru ) You will not loose the satellite signal when playing under trees or other obstructions. (It works off 16 satellites) This has been a problem with other units,including more expensive golf GPS devices.

Smart Green feature.......This feature is generally only available in more expensive golf gps devices. This feature allows you to move the Pin Icon anywhere on the green and read the distances to the pin, back and front of the green along that line of trajectory. This helps you choose the correct club. You'll be happier with your short game.
Customer Service......is EXCEPTIONAL
Membership Fees......NO FEES to upload additional courses.
Price and Value.... While there are a few Golf GPS units available for less, they are neither as accurate or as feature laden.

***The only thing that takes some getting used to is the control buttons. They are positioned above the screen. I consider this to be a minor inconvenience, which you can easily get used to. I highly recommend the GPS Golf Guru device for any golfer who wants to cut strokes off their game.

GPS Golf Guru for Christmas

The Golf GPS devices on the market range in price from just under $150 to $430. So, I thought it fair to have my wife spend around $250 for a Golf GPS for me for Christmas. That might be different for you. So what other factors should you consider when buying a Golf GPS system ?
All of them measure the distance to front, back and center of the green.
What else to consider?

Can I trust its Accuracy ?
Will it help me to make a Smart Decision when Selecting a Club ?
Can I throw away my scorecard and let it keep my score?
Will it make me a happy golfer the next round by letting me analyze how far I can hit the ball with each club ?
Will it fit in my shirt pocket, so that I'm comfortable carrying it ?
Is it easy to download courses--I want it to be a fast, easy download?
Will I have to pay a membership fee? Isn't $250 enough.
Will the Customer Service department be responsive to my "demands", or will Ebeneazer Scrooge head up the Customer Service Department?

Christmas is coming, and as an avid golfer, I cannot help but wonder what presents I'll be getting. It's the "kid in me." I know what Christmas gifts I want...Don't you. If you have no idea and you are a golf nut, then time is flying by.

I want a Golf GPS Device for Christmas

When I talk to people who play golf twice a year they can't understand why anybody would spend money on a Golf GPS. They think it's just another toy. It's not. People who have them have cut 3 to 7 strokes off their golf scores. All Golf GPS devices read the distance from your ball to the front, back and center of the green. It's much more accurate than reading markers and sprinklers. But how can you choose which Golf GPS to choose ?

At this writing I am considering the GPS Golf Guru, amongst others. It's fair priced and feature laden.

I will also have to figure out a way to drop hints to my spouse that I want a Golf GPS unit for Christmas.
